Yes, you read that right, Michael Jackson. He is back and announced 10 concerts for this Summer in London. The singer described it as the “final curtain call”, today in a news conference at the O2 Arena in London.
Michael Jackson has not performed live in the last 12 years and he made clear on the announcement that these would be his final shows, tickets will sell out very quickly as thousands of fans around the world will rush to see the concerts. Tickets for the shows will cost around £50 and they will go on sale March, 13, fans have a chance to pre-register at MichaelJacksonLive.com to purchase tickets.
As usual Michael arrived 90 minutes late for the announcement, and answered no questions, he made the “special announcement” in about three minutes.
The O2 Arena in London seats 20,000 people, and it has a reputation for staging “must-see” concerts, last year it hosted the one-and-only Led Zeppelin’s concert in recent years, also Britney Spears, Prince and many others have performed there.
Rumors about Michael’s financial problems continue, and maybe the concerts are an opportunity for Michael to make some money. Last year he sold the Luxurious Neverland Ranch in California, and everything from the ranch is being auctioned, including the ranch’s gate.
Michael Jackson’s last album was “Invincible” recorded in 2001.
