You are not the only one saying that, there are millions of people saying the same thing out there!
Many people today have been feeling the same way as you are. Stress is present in adults, adolescents and even young children. We get overwhelmed with the amount of responsibilities we deal with in our daily routine. We try to accomplish things in a day as much as we can and usually wish the day was even longer than 24 hours. Today most people have been dealing with the stress of work, school, taking care of children, and barely have time for themselves. It’s rare to find someone that tells you that he or she is not stressed out. But why do we allow ourselves to push our bodies and mind so far and don’t respect our limits?
Our body when under stress sends constant messages to us. It can be through a simple headache, or back pain, or fatigue for example, and we simply ignore these important alerts. We need to realize that when we get these alerts it is time to stop and give our body some rest. People have different ways of relaxing such as, reading, watching TV, playing video game, drinking, and etc. But one of the most efficient ways to relax and also prepare your mind and body to deal with all the tension and stress you go through is with the practice of yoga.
Many people have discovered this amazing solution that reduces stress, tone the body, and helps increase concentration, among many other benefits. When you practice yoga you dedicate that time entirely for you. The more you concentrate in your body, your breath, and focus in your mind the better you will do in your movements, stretch and strength positions.
People that go through serious illness, such as cancer for instance, have found yoga as a way to help them focus on their internal healing. Yoga helps you respect your body, get to know it better and use it healthily. There are also many women that have tried to get pregnant and couldn’t for being under too much stress and after introducing yoga to their lives they learned how to relax and allow their body to take its time and be prepared for being pregnant. And guess what? For most of them it worked!
Yoga tones the body! Through the strength exercises we tend to eliminate lots of toxins, tone the muscles, control the breath, make all those stiff muscles more flexible, and lose weight! It is recommended to practice yoga at least twice or three times a week so you can feel your body’s improvement. Every class you will feel your body more flexible, stronger, and your breath in rhythm with your body. It is clearly noticeable and you don’t have to wait months to see a little result in your body and especially your mind. Many people that practice yoga tend to become calmer, more focused, and in stress situations they learn how to control them. With the practice of yoga you will reduce your stress level, respect your body, free your mind, and live much healthier. Namaste!
